Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include browser storage (such as local storage), tags and related technologies that read or write information on your device.

Strictly necessary

Used for functionality required to operate the service, for security, and to remember your privacy and consent choices. Where these are genuinely necessary to provide the service you have requested, they cannot be disabled through the Awaygo consent interface.

Analytics

Used to understand how visitors use Awaygo so we can improve the service. Awaygo currently uses Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager. Analytics stays disabled through Awaygo's consent controls unless you grant analytics consent.

Marketing / advertising

Technologies associated with advertising, ad measurement, personalisation or user-data signals remain denied unless you grant the relevant consent. Awaygo's consent controls include these signals so they can be honoured correctly; their presence does not mean advertising technologies are currently active on the site.

Awaygo's consent implementation currently manages the following signals:

• analytics storage (analytics_storage);
• advertising storage (ad_storage);
• advertising user data (ad_user_data);
• advertising personalisation (ad_personalization);
• functionality storage (functionality_storage);
• security storage (security_storage).

On a new visit, the optional analytics and advertising signals default to denied. Necessary functionality and security storage remains available where required to run the service.

The cookie banner gives you controls to:

• Accept all;
• Reject optional;
• manage individual preferences for analytics and marketing.

You can reopen the controls at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Changes take effect immediately for subsequent tracking activity.

Awaygo stores your consent preference locally in your browser under awaygo_consent. The record contains the consent version, a timestamp, the expiry and your analytics and marketing choices.

The preference currently expires after 180 days. This storage exists so we can remember your privacy choice rather than asking you again on every page.

Under Awaygo's current configuration, Google Analytics 4 is used only when the appropriate analytics consent has been provided.

At a high level, analytics may tell us how visitors navigate and interact with Awaygo — such as which pages are viewed and which steps of a search are completed.

Awaygo strips the natural-language search query q and the internal search reference s from the page-path and page-location values supplied by its custom single-page-application page-view implementation.

Third-party services may use their own cookies and similar technologies when you interact with them or leave Awaygo for those services — for example when you continue to a travel provider to complete a booking.

Third-party websites are responsible for their own cookie practices.

Your browser also lets you delete or restrict cookies and browser storage. Doing so may affect how Awaygo works and may cause Awaygo to ask for your consent again.

This policy may be updated when Awaygo changes the technologies, providers or purposes described here.
